About Cambridge PDQs

As a professional development project developed by Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE), Cambridge Professional Development Qualifications (Cambridge PDQs) provide teachers and leaders with globally accredited credentials at certificate and diploma levels.

The curriculum comprises three stages/modules, each requiring 150 hours of learning completed within four months, in general. Each module consists of three sub-modules of learning and assessment as follows:

  • Guided Learning

  • Individual and Collaborative Learning

  • School-based Learning

Candidates can obtain the PDQs Certificate after completing the first stage of learning. Moving forward to stage 2 and 3, candidates can be awarded the PDQs Diploma and higher qualifications. Royal Prime is currently offering training at stage 1, which means eligible candidates will get the PDQs certificate upon successful completion.

About Royal Prime PDQ Project

The Royal Prime PDQ aims to improve candidates’ professional skills through both theory and practice. This professional training project is realized through a combination of interactive online teaching, a face-to-face mentoring system, and enhanced communication between domestic and foreign teachers. One of the most distinctive features of the training mode is the acquisition of expertise in the classroom through participation in globally licensed teachers’ real-time teaching. This includes:

  • The mentor making school visits, helping candidate teachers conduct quality assurance work, demonstrating main exemplary courses, and delivering classes to students.

  • Providing candidate teachers with synchronized online courses (approximately 45 hours per school year), while front-line teachers conduct classroom observation.

  • Providing teachers and students with support and guidance realized through online teaching, course planning review, and effective counselling.

With our North American teaching and research center and the intelligent internet platform, Royal Prime is dedicated to introducing the internationally licensed experts and quality courses to teachers in China so as to promote the sharing and development of global educational resources.
